He might be okay, if he can survive being run over by a wheelchair,’ he said smiling and winking across at Mum.
He had been wriggling his toes in the sand and a sand crab had grabbed hold of his big toe with his nippers. Mum had to pull it off. Sarah and Alexandria laughed loudly. ‘You’re having a bit of bad luck today,’ Mum joked. Dad decided he had better just sit still until it was time to board the boat. ’ Alexandria asked. ‘Yes,’ replied Mum. ‘As long as you can see your Dad and me at all times. ’ Alexandria and Sarah walked along the beach looking in rock pools. They stepped on the smooth, cold balls of sand that surround crab holes.
